I wanted to put in writing the excellent feedback I have received from my guests.

Hearing feedback that "everything was perfect" was good to hear.

Having been on many hospitality trips and specially golfing trips this was the best trip ever. The welcome card in the room and being upgraded to a suite overlooking the 17th tee was stunning.

Everyone having caddies for the Old Course was a real benefit and good fun. The service was unobtrusive and not overbearing. Everywhere we ate, Kingsbarns, Old Course Hotel and the Old Course clubhouse, the food was first class.

The weather had a big impact on making it memorable too, 3 days of sun and having taken pictures on the Swilken Burn in the sun was great.

I will be looking at using EMG Events again to arrange another trip in 2011.

Golf trip to Spain, October 2011

I asked Liz to put together my business golf trip to Spain including flights, restaurants, transfers, hotel, etc. and I was very impressed with the high level of service and efficiency from Liz.

A fantastic experience being taken to The Open on the Orient Express. The only thing we felt was we spent an incredible amount of time travelling and not enough time at the Open.

We did feel a little cheated with the timings of Network Rail reducing the time we had at the Open to enjoy the golf.

As discussed previously we would just like to mention that we were extremely disappointed to find on arrival at the hospitality marquee that they were sharing a table with two other people not belonging to our party. We were under the impression that it was solely a private table. This made it very difficult to discuss any potential business with our clients that we invited along on the day.

Also, we felt that the tickets could have arrived a little earlier so it wasn’t such a panic to ensure that our clients received them in good time.

All in all I believe everyone enjoyed the day.

The Open (Orient Express)

There was a mix up with the vegetarian option as the Orient Express staff had not been notified that there were vegetarians on board. Therefore the menu that was sent through to us was not what we were given. The staff were extremely apologetic and the Chef whipped something up. However, there needs to be better communication between the both parties in order that this does not happen again – Apparently it also happened on the previous day!

That said, it did not detract from what was a fabulous day, with the best weather of the four days!

The event went extremely well. The people working in the box were very good, very polite and really efficient with drinks and food. The box had a wonderful view, a really good venue.

The only thing I would say about the box is that we had 45 people attending and it was very cosy. As you walked into the box you were basically at the tables, there wasn't much room for walking around and interacting but it didn't seem to affect the atmosphere as everyone had an enjoyable day.

The Top gear live show was very good, the customers really enjoyed that ! However, although it was a casual event, odd to see 3 chairs per table when you may have a party of 6 -7 customers, The food was disappointing, 7.30pm show, with people finishing work around 4pm with nothing to eat i.e. dinner, there was not enough there, I felt the chicken was very dry. Have to say the drinks voucher after the show didn't go down too well, felt they were treated like kiddies. Never the less good evening !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Multi Activity event - 21 September 2010

Liz came up with the idea of having several activities in one event which would appeal to all my customers.

I and my customers thoroughly enjoyed the day, with comments such as "that was the best event ever" and "when are we doing that again" this was really worthwhile.

Liz's attention to detail with advice on timings, and managing the event, working with a great set of instructors who made us all feel welcome and ensured the tempo of the day was run to perfection.

Golf day - Worplesden Golf Club

Liz from EMG Events, ensured my golf day ran smoothly - helping out with scoring, ideas for giveaways and welcoming the guests on the day, leaving me to concentrate on talking to my clients.

The golf courses Liz suggested were all good, however Liz's preferred option to play at Worplesdon was perfect.

PARIS WINE TRIP, April 2010

I don't think we have any complaints about the trip which went very well for both ourselves and our clients. I think we all enjoyed the wine tasting and the sommelier was very good.

As you know, we have organised this type of trip ourselves on a number of occasions and from discussing this, I think that there were some parts of the day that we would have preferred to have done differently.

Firstly we would have liked to have travelled business class at least on the way out to Paris and maybe at a slightly later time as the early start caused a few difficulties for our clients.

Secondly, although the restaurant and food were good and local, there was little choice and the portions were quite small.

We have previously gone to a couple of restaurants with a greater choice on the menu although we accept that the price and our budget will increase. We were slightly limited for time after lunch so there was little for us to see of Paris and I think that we would have preferred to have caught a later train back to London to enjoy the afternoon more.

I would add that we have received some great comments from them and they thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Ps I would finally add that Adam was an excellent host and well organised.

We used EMG to organise a golf day for 80 clients and staff. The initial brief was loose but with their experience in arranging corporate golf days Liz and her team were able to offer us a number of choices.

The position of the seats was first class and we could not have picked them any better. The meal and the staff were of the highest standards and presentation at the table first class (programme, gift book, etc). The cherry on the cake was having the Man of the Match in the game speaking to us fresh from the changing room. For some time I had wanted to say thank you to my largest customer but had been unable to find anything that I felt was appropriate for the people I wanted to entertain or crucially would fit the budget I had in mind. The archery day was a resounding success for us and loved by all of our clients, irrespective of their experience in the sport. The archery instructors at the venue were as thorough and comprehensive in training us as we could have wished for but, best of all, they were great fun!
